Bayou Community Foundation hosted a presentation on the 2020 U.S. Census for local nonprofits on January 30 at the Terrebonne Parish Library.

U.S. Census Bureau Partnership Specialist Ashley Herad and other bureau representatives explained the 2020 census process, new features, and the benefits for communities to achieve a “complete count.”  Herad also described ways that nonprofits can become census partners and help ensure that residents they serve participate in the census.

Terrebonne Parish Complete Count Committee representative Tara Lambeth explained that parish’s work to promote participation in the census, and Lafourche Parish Senior Planner Jeffrey Leuenberger talked about Lafourche Parish Government’s census efforts as well.
