The Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) today presented grants totaling $198,845 to 21 non-profit organizations working in Lafourche, Terrebonne and Grand Isle from the Foundation’s Bayou Recovery Fund for COVID-19 Relief. The emergency grants will help nonprofits provide food, health care, housing and utility assistance, and education resources to local residents most impacted by the current health and economic crisis in our community.
The Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) announced today a $100,000 donation from BHP and a $50,000 donation from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana (BCBSLA) Foundation for the Bayou Recovery Fund for COVID-19 Relief. These corporate contributions will fund BCF grants to nonprofits in Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish and Grand Isle serving residents impacted by the current health and economic crisis.
Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) is now accepting grant requests from qualified 501c3 nonprofit organizations and local government agencies to address critical unmet needs in Lafourche Parish, Terrebonne Parish and Grand Isle, Louisiana resulting from the COVID-19 health and economic crisis. Completed applications for Phase 1 of the COVID-19 Relief grants program are due via email by Monday, April 13, 2020.

Bayou Community Foundation has activated the Bayou Recovery Fund to provide grants to local nonprofits who are providing food, health care, child care and counseling to Bayou Region residents impacted by COVID-19 and the related economic downturn.
