On Tuesday, May 1, our Lafourche and Terrebonne communities will come together to support the great work of 55 local nonprofits during the 24-hour online giving event known as “GiveNOLA Day.”
GiveNOLA 2018 Meeting on January 29
Bayou Community Foundation and Greater New Orleans Foundation are hosting an optional GiveNOLA Day Information Session on Monday, January 29 at 10:00 a.m. at the North Branch of the Terrebonne Parish Library – 4130 West Park Avenue in Gray.
Whether your group has participated in the event before or you know very little about it, you are invited to attend this optional meeting to learn about registration requirements and how the event could benefit your organization. We will also talk briefly about the “GiveBayou” campaign that BCF coordinates for nonprofits in Terrebonne, Lafourche and Grand Isle registered for GiveNOLA.
Please let us know if you plan to attend on January 29 so we can have an idea of how many to expect.

BCF Awards $220,020 in Grants to 29 Nonprofits
(HOUMA) The Bayou Community Foundation (BCF) today announced grants totaling $220,020 to 29 Terrebonne and Lafourche non-profit organizations as part of the foundation’s fifth annual competitive grants program. This is BCF’s highest number of grants awarded in one year and the highest dollar amount of grants awarded in the organization’s five-year history.
